The Service

Christian Things To Do is a directory for discovering Christian events and activities — worship, retreats, conferences, concerts, fellowship, service, and related gatherings, in person and online.

The Service currently includes:

• Browsing and searching listings (text search, location, map, and filters such as event type and denomination)
• Event pages with dates, places, descriptions when we have permission to show them, and links to organizer websites
• Editorial Featured placements on the homepage
• Optional signed-in messages to an organizer when a listing accepts inquiries
• Accounts for organizers and invited users to create and manage listings, including images
• A way to ask us to add an event (currently by email)
• Occasional product notes we publish on the Updates pages

What this Service is not

The Service is informational. In particular:

• We do not sell tickets, take payment, or register you for events
• We do not host the events or guarantee they will take place as listed
• Registration, cancellation, refunds, admission, and safety are between you and the organizer (or the organizer’s website)
• Featured placement is an editorial choice, not paid advertising. If we later offer paid Promoted slots, those will be labeled separately. See How We Choose Featured Events.

Event listings

Listings may come from public websites and calendars we index, emails or account submissions from organizers, and curation by our team.

When we collect from a public website, we use an identified crawler and generally honor that site’s robots.txt. We typically list facts we can verify (such as title, date, and place) and link to the source. We generally do not republish copyrighted descriptions or images unless we have permission. If a description is withheld, the listing will say so and point you to the organizer’s site.

Details change. Confirm date, time, place, and any registration on the organizer’s website before you go.

We may edit, refuse, unpublish, or remove a listing at any time — for example for accuracy, duplication, rights, quality, or legal risk. Organizers who want a listing taken down, or who do not want us to collect from their site, can email us at the address below.

Organizer accounts and submissions

If you create an account or submit a listing, you are responsible for the accuracy of what you provide and for keeping it up to date. You represent that you have the right to submit the text, images, and links, and that they do not infringe others’ rights or violate law.

You grant Christian Things To Do a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Service (including public event pages and search). Images you upload may be stored with our hosting provider and shown publicly.

Signup may be open or invite-only depending on how we are operating the Service. Creating an account requires agreeing to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Visitor inquiries

Some listings let signed-in visitors send a message to the organizer. That is not a registration or booking. We forward your message and email address so the organizer can reply. We do not guarantee a response. Do not use inquiries to spam, harass, or send unlawful content. We may rate-limit or disable the form.

Accounts

Some features require an account. We may sign you in with an email code and/or a password. You are responsible for your credentials and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account was used without permission.

We may suspend or close an account that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is being used to harm the Service or other people.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Infringe others’ intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
• Submit misleading, spam, or harmful listings or messages
• Attempt unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems
• Interfere with or overload the Service, including abusive automated access
• Scrape or copy the directory in bulk except as allowed by robots.txt and ordinary browsing

Intellectual property

The Service’s software, design, and original content are owned by Christian Things To Do and protected by intellectual property laws. Organizer and third-party content remains theirs. These Terms do not transfer ownership of that content to you or to us beyond the license described above.

Third-party websites and maps

Listings often link to organizer websites. Maps may load tiles from OpenStreetMap. Those services are not under our control. Your use of them is subject to their terms. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” We do not warrant that listings are complete, current, or error-free, or that the Service will be uninterrupted. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Christian Things To Do and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from your use of the Service, a listing, an event, or a third-party site — including cancellation, injury, or disputes with organizers.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. If a change is material, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice before the new Terms take effect, such as by posting on the Service. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
